Modeling Modest Clothes!

Yesterday's activity was on Modesty so I thought it would be fun for the girls to go to Walmart and pick out a modest outfit and model it for eachother. Here are the outfits they picked out!

It seems like "Sparkles" were the most popular item with all the girls. They can't get enough BLING!

Our next activity is in two weeks and we will be doing a Thanksgiving activity. Hope to see all the girls in two weeks.

Next activity Wednesday the 28th

Sorry I had to cancel the last activity. I had my little brothers wedding that I didn't realize was on the same day until a few days before. Our next activity with be on Wednesday the 28th. All of the girls need to meet at the church kitchen at 4:30 to help prepare dinner for their parents, and the new activity days girls and their parents. We will have the parents and other guests arrive at 5:45 and do a quick orientation, and then the girls will get to serve dinner to all the guests. This activity is important! It will help them pass of one of their requirements. Call me if you have any questions.

PS I will be delivering invites to everyone in a few days.

New Pictures and an Update on Activities....

First off, Sorry to all you Moms that I may have confused. I am still getting used to this new calling, and I totally screwed up on the dates. For some reason I put the dates as everyother Wednesday on the calendar (Which works out most of the time, except for when there is a 5th Wednesday) I just realized my mistake, and have updated the calendar to reflect the right dates. Sorry again. We have been having activity days, I was just doing them everyother Wednesday. Now onto some pictures for the girls.

Obstacle Course Activity

So we had our activity today, and talked about the importance of being active and excercising, then we did an obstacle course of different activities the girls can do to keep active. They had to ride through some cones with a wiggle car, then dribble a soccer ball through cones, jump rope 10 times, do 3 cartwheels or summersaults, and shoot a basketball through the hoop. We timed all of the girls and gave prizes to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. At the end we enjoyed some fruit. I think that the girls all enjoyed being active together. Check out the pictures!

Prayer Rocks

Today we talked about daily prayer, and scripture study. Each of the girls got to decorate, and paint a prayer rock for their beds. They had lots of fun painting. Next Activity is the obstacle course, and healthy eating. This should be lots of fun! Hope to see you there.

Cooking Activity

We made chocolate chip cookies at our activity today. The girls had a blast, and of course just wanted to eat the dough. (if you look close you will see Aspen sneaking a bit of dough, naughty, naughty!)

Our next activity is June 8th at the church. We will be working on Scripture Study and Daily Prayers. I hope to see you all there.

Planning Activity

I had a super fun time getting to know your daughters today. They had such great ideas for activities, and I can't wait to put the activities together. They had a great mix of fun and spiritual ideas. I was very impressed. I just updated the calendar so it will reflect the activities for the next 6 months. Please take a second to write the activities down on your family calendar or schedule so that all of the girls can make it. I took a few pictures of the girls while they were goofing off waiting for pickup, and then a couple cute pictures of the group. We hope to see all of you in 2 weeks for our cooking class. We will be learning how to cook some fun cookie recipes, and delivering them to some of the elderly in our ward. I hope your girls had as much fun as I did!!!
